He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernal Harris Roy and Mary Ella Taylor Roy; his wife Catherine Thomas Roy; and his stepdaughters, Darlene Rollins and Linda Eldridge.
He is survived by: his children, Laurence Roy, Jr. (Jill) of North Carrollton, MS, Nora Sprague of Dripping Springs, TX and Nadine Roy of Dripping Springs, TX; and his stepchildren, Billy Mcguff (Judy) of Holcomb, MS and Elizabeth Cooper of Alford, FL. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
