He is survived by: his wife Soujouner Warnsley Grimes of Newton, MS; his son Tay Grimes of Newton, MS; his stepdaughter Danielle Walker Caraway (Richmond) of Newton, MS; his grandchildren, Maison Caraway and Madison Caraway of Newton, MS; his siblings, Tony Grimes (Tina) of Newton, MS, Joey Grimes (Stephanie) of Mantachie, MS and Dana Grimes Walker (Bubba) of Decatur, MS; and his stepmother Wanda Dukes Grimes of Decatur, MS. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home - South (100 Old Hwy 15 Loop, Newton, MS 39345). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
