She is survived by: her daughter Kristen Thorne (Matthew) of Newton; her grandsons, Brady and Bryson; her sister Trudy Madrid (Jay Madrid) of Dallas; her nieces, Jody Swartzwelder (Grant) and Mandy Grassley; her great-nieces, Abbey, Kate Swartzwelder and Mia Grassley; and her close friend Nita McCullough.
Since Susan was a breast cancer survivor, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society Benevolence Fund, P.O. Box 4449, Brandon, MS 39047.
