She was predeceased by: her husband Roy A. Pete; her daughter Leslie Carol Deal; her parents, James M. Mayfield and Verna Carolyn Craft Mayfield; and her siblings, Don Keith Mayfield and Mary Mayfield Lahman.
She is survived by: her son Jon Deal of Newton, MS; and her siblings, John Mayfield (Robyn), Joel Mayfield and Sue Mayfield Mitchell. She is also survived by cousin, and a host of other family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery (248 Honor Circle, Newton, MS 39345).
