It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Carol McElroy Mabry of Newton, Mississippi, born in Hernando, Mississippi, who passed away on May 28, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George David McElroy and Abbye Elizabeth Guy McElroy; and her grandsons, Benson Norris and Winner Charles Russell. She is survived by: her husband Bill; her children, Anne Cerelle Mabry, Georgia Mabry Russell (Rusty), William Clifton "Chip" Mabry, III and Virginia Mabry Chertkow (Kevin); her grandchildren, Jacob Chertkow, Abbye Chertkow, Christopher Chertkow, Nathan Chertkow, Elizabeth "Ellie" Russell, Aimee Mabry, Mabry Russell and Kevin Chertkow; her son-in-law Nathan Chertkow; her grandson Art McElroy; and her nephew Bubba Suddoth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Baptist Children's Village, 114 Marketridge Dr, Ridgeland, MS 39157 are suggested to assist in their efforts to help Mississippi's at-risk children.
