She was predeceased by: her children, Pam Thomas Thornton and Tim Thomas; her son-in-law Mike Thornton (Ralph Thomas); her sisters, Bernice Cook and Peggy Lowe; and her mother B. B. Holder.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Abby Hairston (Jeff), Brody Thomas (Audrey) and Carly Pierce (Payton); her daughter-in-law Lisa Roper Thomas; her great grandchildren, Jack, Sam Hairston and Chase Pierce; and her brother J. W. Holder. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made be to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, or to a charity of your choosing.
