He was predeceased by: his wife Imogene Shepherd Thompson; his parents, John D. Thompson and Madge Stokes Thompson; and his siblings, Howard Earl Thompson, Billie Albert Thompson, Buford Earl Thompson, C. B. Thompson, Harry Thompson, Lillie Bell Pennington, Laurie Ree Hathcock and Margaret Ann McDonald.
He is survived by: his daughter Wanda Jenneskens (Jim) of Largo, FL; his grandsons, Brandon Bishop (Sable) and Cory Bishop (Sandy); and his great grandchildren, Christian Bishop, Reed Bishop, Andi Kay Bishop and Ellie Bishop.
