Sharon Lee Cuevas Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Lee Cuevas of New Augusta, Mississippi, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard John "Thunder" Cuevas; her parents, Frank Mercer and Violet Mercer; and her sister Pricilla Mercer. She is survived by: her children, Ricky Cuevas of Saucier, Raydale Cuevas, Kyle Cuevas (Sherrie) of D'Iberville and Violet Dean (William) of New Augusta; and her sister Teresa Little. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
While in the Army, she was one of 157 women who served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC), earning her a spot in the Army Women's Foundation Hall of Fame in Fort Gregg-Adams, VA.
