It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Ruffin Taylor of New Augusta, Mississippi, who passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Sarah Ruffin's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Sarah Ruffin has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ruffin and Lucille Hammett Ruffin of New Augusta, MS.; and her significant other Richard L. Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Beth Denton (Rodney), Debra Newman (Scott), Richard Taylor (Cheryl) and Cindy Woodard (Mark). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, she and the family request that donations be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home (lbch.org) or charity of one's choice.
