He was predeceased by: his son Eric D. Blackwell; his parents, Raymond Ellis, Sr. and Juanita M. Padgett; and his sisters, Mary Padgett, Edna Padgett and Edith Anna Padgett.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Bailey Padgett of New Augusta, MS; his daughter Marci Padgett Gerhardt (Ryan) of Texas City, TX; his sister Margie Kothe (Larry) of Ponca City, OK; and his close friends, Nancy Reeves and Shelia Gora Dillon. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
