He was predeceased by: his parents, James Preston and Margie Christian Williams Holcomb; and his wife Martha Lynn McNeece Holcomb. He is survived by: his son John Holcomb (Alexis) of Colorado Springs, CO; his caregiver Morgan Coombs of New Albany; his grandchildren, Jackson, Aidan, Natalie, Samuel, Emma, Donnie and Jordan; and his siblings, Charles Eugene Holcomb of Caledonia, Larry Holcomb of Georgia and Cathy Kreun of Georgia.
