He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayes Clark Carter and Marie Bell Carter; his son Mitch Carter (Mitch); and his brother Bill Carter. He is survived by: his wife Ada Kathryn Love (Kathy) of Tupelo; his children, Junior, Rob Carter (Mitch) of Oxford and Mandy Carter Ladner of New Albany; his sister Clydell Carter Hudson of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Monte Carter Ladner, Richard Mitchell Ladner, Kathryn Marie Ladner, Damon, Rachel C. Ladner, Samantha Garner and Brooks Garner.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Methodist Church of New Albany.
