He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Swords Gammell and Elbert Gammell; and his stepfather James Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Regina Keenum Gammell; his daughters, Robyn Gammell Pounds (Wes), Traci Gammell Camferdam (Kevin) and Kellye Gammell Shearon (Jon); his stepchildren, Robin Merritt Perkins (Ashly) and Brandon Brevard (Megan); his sister Vickie Ann Johnston (Chris); and his grandchildren, Madison Rutledge, Micah Moran, Macye Moran, Ellie Escobar, Gresham Melton, Griffin Melton, Price Pounds, Conlee Kate Pounds, Keenum Perkins, Parker Jo Brevard and Carsyn Jane Brevard.
