He is survived by: his wife Shelba; his mother-in-law Marjorie Merritt; his daughters, Emily Childers (Guy) and Christy Bullock (Jalon); his brothers, Terry (Angie) and Keith (Donna); his grandchildren, Anslie Mills (Tripp), Becca Childers, Lilly Cate Childers and Max Bullock; and his great grandchild Henry Mills.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church.
