It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Delco Taylor Smith (New Albany, Mississippi), who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Taylor and Emma Box Taylor; her husband Bro. Gene Smith; her daughter Mavis Smith Kennamore; and her siblings, Ida Beatrice Henry, Pearl Miller, Ruby Mae Tucker, Marylou Akins, Sara Dee Hall, Clifton Taylor and Bill Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughter Daphane Janice Wilson (Tim); her sister Alma Dee Doyle; her granddaughter Candace Brooke Kennamore Page (Rodney); her great grandchild Cayson Nathaniel Gene Page; and her son-in-law Jerry Kennamore.
