She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Hicks and Sallie Chesteen Hicks; her husband Morris Lee Blackard; and her sister Laverne Williams. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ann Gregory (Mike) and David Lee Blackard, Sr. (Malinda); and her siblings, Christine Phillips, Eugene Hicks, Earnest Hicks and Eddie Hicks. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
