Julia Barkley Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2021, at the age of 86, Julia Barkley of New Albany, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Barkley; her parents, Joe Parks and Erin Parks; her brothers, Joe Parks Jr., Tommy Parks and James Ford Parks; and her parents-in-law, Claude and Sallie Barkley of Cotton Plant.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Barkley McAlilly (Bill) of Nashville, TN, Donna Barkley Roberts (Scott) of Starkville, MS and Camille Barkley of New Albany, MS; her grandchildren, Chris McAlilly (Millie) of Oxford, MS, Laura McAlilly Paulk (Nate) of Nashville, TN, Emily Roberts Beaty (Cameron) of Dallas, TX and Kelly Roberts Fenwick (Chap) of Hazelhurst, MS; and her great grandchildren, Thomas, Micah, Bolen McAlilly, Iris, Mac Paulk, Wells Beaty, Jack and Claire Fenwick. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family requests that masks be worn during visitation and at the service and encourages social distancing while in the building.
