He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Portis and Alma Wiehmiller Portis; and his siblings, Julie Portis, Carol Portis, Tracy Holmes and Bobby Portis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Portis Acy of Grenada and Regena Portis of New Albany, MS; and his grandson Wade Acy.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (650 MS-15, New Albany, MS 38652). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
