He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Arendale and Mary Beatrice Manley Arendale; and his brothers, Eddie Arendale, Tommy Arendale, Mike Arendale, Curt Arendale and Jimmy Arendale.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mitchell Arendale of New Albany; his children, Shellie Arendale Lohmeier of New Albany and John David Arendale, Jr. of Vaiden; and his siblings, Nina Hanson of Starkville, Tina Ray of Cleveland and Rickie Steven Arendale of Greenville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
