It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis Knox Sanders (New Albany, Mississippi), who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Baxter Nicholson Knox; her husband Richard Wolsey Sanders; her son John; and her siblings, Virginia McAlister, Larkin, Billy and Baxter Knox, Jr..
She is survived by: her mother Corinne Evans Knox; her daughter Corinne Butler (Clyde); her daughter-in-law Kathy Sanders of New Albany; her sons, Bob Sanders of Ridgeland and David Sanders of Tappan; and her grandchildren, Laura Montgomery of Oxford, Ben Sanders, Jacob Sanders of New Albany, Janis, Kent of Madison, Elliott Sanders of Camp Sherman, Sarah McCusker of Los Angeles, Knox Butler, Ben Butler of Tupelo and Rush Butler of New Albany. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
