She was predeceased by: her parents, James Curry "Jake" Denton and Opal Thompson Denton; her son Vaughn Tate; and her siblings, Fannie Furniss, Linda Murrah, Jimmy Doyle Denton and Robert Denton.
She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Chris Tate; and her brother Billy Wayne Denton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ingomar Baptist Church (1112 Co Rd 90, New Albany, MS 38652). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
