George E. Dixon Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George E. Dixon (New Albany, Mississippi), who passed away on May 22, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Homer Dixon and Elva May Randolph Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Thompson Harper (Ginny); his stepdaughters, Serena Schuman (Raymond) of Charleston, WV and Kimberly Burford (John) of Sissonville, WV; his son Buddy Dixon (Sandy) of New Albany; his stepson Robert Harper (Chasity) of St. Albans, WV; and his pet Pharaoh. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Legion Post 72 P.O. Box 457, New Albany MS 38652.
