It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Barnes (New Albany, Mississippi), born in Prentiss, Mississippi, who passed away on November 4, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Deward Allen Barnes and Mary Addie Speck Barnes; his former wife Jean Kent Barnes; his son Brian Barnes; and his sisters, Shirley Taylor, Lena May Taylor and Maybell Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cannon Barnes; his daughter Joni Barnes of Myrtle; his stepdaughters, Erika Simon of Erath, LA., Tabitha Franklin of New Albany and Jessica Green of Amite City, LA.; his son Bobby Allen Barnes, Jr. of New Albany; his stepson Donzie Hux of New Albany; and his sister Linda Gattis. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
