She was predeceased by: her parents, Wylie Sappington and Blanche Cobb Sappington; and her siblings, Ellie Denton, Dewayne Sappington, Betty Jo Hale, Kenny Sappington, Dr. James Sappington and Donald Sappington.

She is survived by: her siblings, Dale Wood of New Albany, Wylie Sappington of Blue Mountain, Iva Boothe of Ripley and Jerry Sappington (Julie) of Olive Branch; and her niece Carol Sappington Robbins of Sherman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
