She was predeceased by: her parents, William S. Shumpert and Ruth Kinloch Shumpert (Wesson); her former husband Sammy Joe Payne; her husband Henry Brown; her siblings, Billy Shumpert, Virginia Dykstra and Christine Shumpert; and her siblings-in-law, Bitsy Payne, Roland McDaniel and Johnnie Faye McDaniel.
She is survived by: her children, William L. Payne (Patricia) and Debbie Morris (Larry); her grandchildren, Samuel Connor Payne (Blake), Andrea Kirk (Scott) and Leslie Black (Paul); her great grandchildren, Madison Kirk, Mallory Kirk, Jack Kirk, Eli Black, Darby Renfro, Dylan Black and Carson Renfro; her nieces, Phyliss Wigginton and Ann Beasley; and her siblings-in-law, Catherline Payne, Nancy Payne, Diane Payne and Jimmy Payne.
