He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Purifoy and Bernice Purifoy; his wife Constance Purifoy; and his siblings, Henry Purifoy Jr. and Betty Lou Albonetti.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Robert Purifoy (Lisa) and Melissa Purifoy Reaves (Ken); his grandsons, Jacob Purifoy (Olivia), Owen Purifoy and Brandon Reaves; his stepgrandchildren, Michael Hale and Amber Haynes; his great grandchild Waylon Purifoy; and his siblings, Ronnie Purifoy (Vicki) and Darlene Cowan. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (785 Church Rd W, Southaven, MS 38671). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Forest Hill Cemetery South (2545 E Holmes Rd, Memphis, TN 38118).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
