He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe D. Prowell, Jr. and Martha Smotherman Prowell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kathryn Stalnaker (Kathy); his children, Kimberly Prowell Funk (David) of Lakeland, TN and Joe D. Prowell IV of Nesbit, MS; and his grandchildren, Joe Paul, Kennedy, Walker and Campbell.
