He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh D. Carey and Mary Frances Carey; and his son Daniel Carey, III. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Carey of Nesbit, MS; his children, Kevin Carey (Lisa) of Rocky Mount, NC and Kathleen Carey of Memphis, TN; and his grandchildren, Melissa, Elizabeth and Kristopher. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
