He was predeceased by: his brother Nelson Tew, Jr.; his grandparents, Fred and Mary Whittington of Natchez; his great grandchild Hayze; his brothers-in-law, Bill Overby and Master Sargent Joe Snyder (Retired); his parents-in-law, Doyle and Ethel Murray of Natchez; and his parent Inez Tew of Natchez.
He is survived by: his wife Gail; his children, Philip Tew (Kerry) of Jonesboro, AR, Leslie Hurst of Natchez, MS and Steven Tew of Carlisle, AR; his grandchildren, Madyson Hurst of Natchez and Peyton Hurst of Natchez; his great grandchild Haven; his uncle Ken Whittington (Martha) of Natchez; and his siblings-in-law, Lenell Snyder of Natchez, Sandy Overby of Natchez and Lane Murray (Elena) of Jackson. He is also survived by cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
