With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard M. Durkin Sr. of Natchez, Mississippi, born in Camden, New Jersey, who passed away on January 25, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Camille Butler; his friend Will Feltus; his close friend Dr. Don Killelea; and his parents, Richard F. Durkin and Hannah Durkin.
He is survived by: his friend Andrew Peabody; his children, Camille G. Durkin of Ocean Springs, MS, Sally B. Durkin of Natchez, Richard M. Durkin, Jr. (Nancy) of Natchez, Pam D. Courtney (Peter) of Midland, TX and Lacy D. Sparks (Paul) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Andrew Clifton of Midland, TX, Taylor Clifton (Sheridan) of Midland, TX, Camille Courtney of Midland, TX, Elizabeth Courtney Jones (Travis) of Midland, TX, Hannah Durkin of Natchez, Mae Durkin of Biloxi, MS, Butler Sparks (Elizabeth Ann) of Birmingham, AL, Will Sparks (Sarah) of Birmingham, AL and Lawton Sparks of Birmingham, AL; his great grandchildren, Brooks, Cole Clifton of Midland, TX, Eli Sparks and Tripp Sparks of Birmingham; his sister Judy Durkin McElderry (Jack) of Doylestown, PA; and his nieces, Gwen Raifsnider and Vicky Harpster.
