He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Rose Stewart and Richard Allen McCullen, Sr.; his son Derrick McCullen; his grandparents, Eliza Stewart and Arthur Stewart; and his siblings, Brenda Denise Bradley, Jessie Gary Wimley and Earl McCullen.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Nelson-McCullen; his children, Bernard A. Nelson, Brian A. Nelson, Richard Graham, Brandon McCullen, Chrissy, Quintastia Brown, Shameka Johnson and Ascia B. McCullen; his siblings, LeAndrew McCullen, Philip Wimley (Brenda), Robert Wimley, Joseph Wimley (Valerie), Virginia Walker, Corlis Rose Chatman, Alice Mosby (Glenn), Christa Kelly and Josephine Vaughan (Chris); and his aunt Lerel Stewart.
