It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Monroe Elery (Natchez, Mississippi), who passed away on September 9, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sue Willie Harris Elery and Walter Elery. He is survived by: his wife Vera Lee Griffin Elery; and his children, Thomas Monroe Elery, Robert James Elery, Kenneth Dale Elery (Penelope), Ronnie Edward Elery, Betty Lee Jefferson, Dorothy Burrell and Fannie Lorraine McClay (Tyrone). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
