It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Ruth Newell Boyte (Natchez, Mississippi), born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Newell and Emma Ruth Newell; her husband Harvey Dwight Boyte; her children, Darrell Boyte, Johnny Boyte and Kathy Boyte; and her siblings, Lucille Lemon, Ella Dozier, Frances Hoyle, John Newell, Nell Bryant, Albert Newell and Charles Edwin Newell.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Boyte Watkins, Dwight Boyte and Randy Smith (Helen Moss Smith); and her daughters-in-law, Linda Boyte Foster and Anona Wilson Boyte. She is also survived by her many family members and always entertained friends.
