He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Cowan and Velma Rose Coco Cowan; his parents-in-law, Gwendolyn Nugent, F. C. Griggs and Bobby Nugent; his brother Dale Cowan; his grandson Seth Baker; and his niece Wendy Welsh.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon G. Cowan of Monterey; his daughter Lesley Cowan Baker; his son-in-law Sam Baker of Springfield; his son Charles Cowan (Tony); his daughter-in-law Shaunna Cowan of Yuma; his son Corey Cowan; his daughter-in-law Brandi Figari Cowan of Yuma; his grandchildren, Christine Kinsman, Michael Kinsman, Caitlynn Cowan, Zachary Cowan Sullivan, Christa, Molly Rose C. Sullivan Kasco, Storm Kasco, Ransom Cowan Sullivan, Oliver Cowan, Sawyer Cowan and Emily Cowan; his great grandchildren, Hanora Sullivan, Brindon Sullivan and Liam Kinsman; his nieces and nephews, Stephen Cowan, Michael Cowan, Elizabeth C. Thomas, Melissa Welsh, Kaya Welsh and Jeff Barron; his sister Martha G. Welsh; and his siblings-in-law, Lenny Welsh and Lori Nugent. He is also survived by aunts, uncles. cousins.
