He was predeceased by: his father John Christian Maier. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Elizabeth Fleming Maier; his children, Michael Maier, April Maier Purdy and John C. Maier, III; his mother Kathleen Ketteringham Curlee; his stepfather Bruce Curlee of Natchez; and his sisters, Susan Swinny of Brandon and Rhonda Odom of Vicksburg. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children Hospital or a charity of choice.
