He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Carter and Walter Butler; his grandparents, Lizzie Galmore, James Carter, Laura Butler and Wash Butler; and his grandson Darren Myles.
He is survived by: his children, Melvin Myles (Maria), Cordell Myles and Sharonica Myles; and his siblings, William Carter (Margaret), George Carter (Granetta), Regimen Carter, Walter Thompson, Otis Dent (Rosie), Wash Edward Butler (Deloris), Kenneth Butler (Lucretia), Edna Carter, Lillian Roberts, Carmen Carter, Cassandra Johnson, JoAnn Savage (Lawrence), Arbrodella Letcher, Juanita Smith, Aletha Luss (Ronald) and Penny Scott. He is also survived by grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the West Gate Funeral Home (409 M. L. K. Jr Rd, Natchez, MS 39120). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church (1301 Lower Woodville Rd, Natchez, MS 39120). A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery (1301 Lower Woodville Rd, Natchez, MS 39120).
