She was predeceased by: her parents, Camelia Davis Nelson and Herman L. Nelson, Sr.; her siblings, Genora Nelson Dorsey, Patricia Nelson, Tommie Nelson and Lee Nelson; and her son Lendric D. Burnside.
She is survived by: her son Anthony "Tony" Burnside; and her siblings, John Nelson, Henderson Nelson (Linda), Herman Nelson, Jr. (Linda Fay), Canary Nelson Grantham (Napoleon) and Shirley Nelson Hunt (Clinton). She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
