He was predeceased by: his mother Celia Gibson Young; his siblings, Leslie Mae Rankin, Lucille Queen and Eddie Young; and his grandchildren, Ivan Young and Avery Young.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Hilliard Young; his children, Eugene King (Brenda), Tommie Lee Young (Gloria), James Young (Bertha), Larry Young (Gwen), Jeremy "Shaun" Young (Rachel) and Debra Young Gordon (Eugene); and his brother B. C. Young. He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
