He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cecil and Etta Mae Caraway; his former wife Gloria Ann Caraway; and his daughter Lorretta Ann Caraway. He is survived by: his wife Ella Mae Caraway; his daughters, Lenore Caraway-Wills and Lisa Caraway-Sims; his grandchildren, Brook Orcutt, Charlie Orcutt, Leslie Starling, Lacey Starling, Leanna Dial and Anna Sims; and his great grandchildren, Milo Dial, Noelle Dial, Layelle Mearday, Major Mearday and Derrick Curtis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
