She was predeceased by: her parents, Mamie H. Green and Sanders Green, Sr.; and her husband Jessie F. Bates. She is survived by: her children, Jerry L. Bates, A. Ray Bates and Christine Hargrave (Jimmy); her siblings, Richard Green, Mary Bell Taylor, Mary Lee Beamon, Shirley Green and Ruby Ruffins; her grandchildren, Jamal Bates, Jasmine Bates, Keldric Hunt, Sr., Kristen Hargrave, Xadrian Bates, Aaliyah Bates and Arianna Bates; her great grandchild Aubrey S. Bates; and her goddaughter Tasha Green. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
