He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Cater and Dorothy Cater; and his sister Linda Cater Duke. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Wilson Cater; his sons, Christopher Jason Cater (Jennefer), Bryan Keith Cater (Jelena) and Brandon Scott Cater (Heather); his sister Patricia Cater Hall (Larry); his grandchildren, Terry James Cater, Chelsea Meyer, Josh Meyer, Tava Angel Meyer, Landon Bosman, Maddox Cater and Seoni Faye Cater; and his great grandchildren, Enzo Ramirez and Tyrion Warwick.
