He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lacy Douglas and Mattie Hale Stroud; his wife Sue Burke Stroud; and his children, Jo Ann Wilhite, Janie Holland (Ray), Judy Mills (Keven) and Steve Stroud (Kaye). He was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
