He was predeceased by: his father Sonny Johnson; his daughter Jennifer Lynn Johnson; his mother-in-law Agnes Willard; and his close friend Eugene Hooper. He is survived by: his mother Beatrice Turner Johnson of Mantachie; his wife Sheila Johnson of Myrtle; his son Brandon Johnson of Wisconsin; his stepsons, Jason Jordan (Paula) of Myrtle and Mark Jordan (Mauri) of Myrtle; his siblings, Beverly Hoyle (Randy) of Mantachie, Billy Johnson (Teresa) of Mantachie and Bobby Johnson of Mantachie; and his close friend Billy Jett of Mantachie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a favorite charity of the donor's choice.
