He is survived by: his wife Bertha Higgins; his son Barney John Higgins (Melissa); his brother George L. Higgins; his brother-in-law AJ Runnels; his sisters, Ruby L. Garner and Lois Taylor Louise (Gary Amason); and his niece Peggy Brown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other family members.
