She was predeceased by: her husband Shelton Smith; her parents, Charlie Runnels and Pearl Smith; her stepfather James Boyce Smith; and her siblings, Emmitt Runnels, A. J. Runnels, Willie Merle Fairchild and Edna Earle Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Stone (Ron, Michael Smith) and Nita Williamson (Mike); her grandchildren, Melanie Nunnally (Matt, Michael Shelton), Erin Giles, Trent Smith, Shelly Covington (Brad, Rebecca Sanders) and Clint Russell; and her siblings, Charles Runnels, Paul Runnels, Hazel Dowe and Jean Dennis.
Mrs. Smith prior to her passing, requested that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to a hospice charity or a charity of your choice.
