It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ben Hamby of Mount Olive, Mississippi, born in Crossville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 19, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hamby and Alma McElhaney Hamby; his stepparents, Sue Hamby and Oran Keisman; and his brother-in-law Don Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Hamby of Prentiss; his children, Doug Walker of Picayune, Casey Duncan (Kendalyn) of Knoxville, TN, Stephanie Johnson (Tim) of Atlanta, GA, Amanda Brantingham (Ted) of Chattanooga, TN and Rachel Chappell (John) of Sarasota, FL; and his siblings, Larry Hamby (Cindy) of Knoxville, TN, Keith Hamby (Karen) of Grant, AL, Karen Sullivan of Nashville, TN and Connie Senseney (Wayne) of Nashville, TN.. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
