With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lewis Jackson Jr. of Mound Bayou, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Jackson and Mary Jackson (Butler); and his grandparents, Bru, Big Lewis, Jack, MacGyver, Baby, Shirley and Ariana Browning.
He is survived by: his brother Rev. Edd Jackson; his wife Shirley Sias; his children, Edith Elaine Harris (Eric), Mary Elizabeth McElroy (Gary) and Lewis Jackson III (Marion); his grandchildren, Alberta "Deseandra" Marie Douglas, Lewis Jackson IV of Tyionna Beauregard, EJ, Eric LeWayne Harris Jr., Kecia Gallaher and Kalen Walker; his niece Carla Jackson; his great-niece Tiffany Lamb; his godchildren, Elgin Hawthorne and Quanita Sain-Hardy; and also Azai Blakey. He is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-love, nephews and nieces, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
