He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobson Duckworth and Eva Nell Harvey Duckworth; his brother-in-law Tony Sward; his nephew Chris Sward; his daughter-in-law Valerie Sward; his sister Geneva Duckworth; and his in-laws, AC "Tony" Sward and Vera Sward.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Sward Duckworth; his sons, Jeremy Duckworth (Chrissy) and Jason Sward; his grandchildren, Jasmine (Allen), Jocelyn, Joseph, Jayden and Lizzy; and his pets, Ginger and Honey.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (9721 MS-63, Moss Point, MS 39562). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Nelson's family asks that a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The Humane Society, or a charity of choice be made in Nelson's name.
