He was predeceased by: his wife Doris; his parents, Gary Cain and Sara Beckham Cain; his brother Terry Cain; and his son Michael McCraw.
He is survived by: his children, Mathew Cain (Ashley), Jason McCraw (Maria) and Kimberly Sylvester (Wyatt); and his siblings, Debbie McCrory (Keith), Tina Cooley, Gary Cain (Ivy), Michael Cain (Theresa) and Becky Berry. He is also survived by his grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
