He was predeceased by: his parents, H. E. "Hubby" Nelson and Ora Nelson; his wife Evelyn Nelson; his siblings, H. E. "Hubby" Nelson, Jr. and Jerri; his brother-in-law George Lutsch; and his nephew William "Bill" Nelson, Jr..
He is survived by: his former wife Marilyn Bullis; his children, Donna Lollar (Ronnie), Captain Dave Nelson (Melanie) and Theresa Feller (John); his grandchildren, Jackie Lollar, Ronnie Lollar (Theresa), Amanda Reitmeyer (Brad), Savannah Nelson, Nicole Noblitt and John Noblitt; his great grandchildren, Brody Reitmeyer and Brinlee Reitmeyer; his sister-in-law Nell Nelson; and his close friend Jason Scott. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and so many, many friends.
